EDUCATION & EXPLORATION.

Omaka Early Learning Centre is a space for education, exploration, development, nurturing and FUN – providing quality care and education for infants, toddlers and children aged 3 months to 5 years.

PUTTING TAMARIKI FIRST WITH…

CHILD-LED LEARNING

Omaka Early Learning Centre is based upon the philosophies of Reggio Emelia and RIE – offering children uninhibited opportunities to engage their curiosity, exploration and investigation. Children are empowered to take leadership in their learning, develop their social skills and the confidence to make their own choices, take risks and express themselves.

ENGAGING ENVIRONMENTS

The Environment is considered the "third teacher” and our learning spaces are designed to be stimulating while integrating nature – encouraging tamariki to engage in experiences and discovery. The design of our centre has been thoughtfully developed to encourage playful encounters for students, and plants, artworks and children's work are displayed at their eye level.

FAMILY COLLABORATION

We acknowledge parents, whānau and caregivers as first teachers, and work collaboratively with you in the interests of your child. As an early childhood collaborative, Omaka provides a supportive atmosphere where children, teachers and whānau come together to discover and grow with the united outcome of developing confident and competent learners.

A FOCUS ON FUN!

Our holistic approach to ECE embraces tamariki as rich, powerful, and competent learners – and we know from experience that children engage and learn best when having FUN! Our centre is a place for development through adventure, and we are excited to see your child’s learning take flight!

A UNIQUE LEARNING JOURNEY

Omaka Early Learning Centre provides a unique learning environment for all children. As a privately owned early childhood collaborative, Omaka works together with whānau to foster a supportive atmosphere, and uninhibited opportunities for tamariki to engage their curiosity, exploration and investigation.
